Double burglaries in Zerbst: Who knows the perpetrators?
In Zerbst, two single-family homes were victims of brazen break-ins on Saturday! The perpetrators struck in both the north and south of the city and the police are alerted. In one case, between 2:30 p.m. and 9 p.m., the unknown people entered a house in Großer Wall through a broken patio door and stole cash and valuable items, causing damage of around 1,000 euros.
In the other incident, which occurred on “Steinstücken” street, the burglars even stole valuables worth around 3,000 euros! The homeowners had left their home around 4 p.m. and returned after midnight to find the patio door open - a clear sign of the crime. Several rooms were ransacked and vandalized.
Who knows the perpetrators?
The police are faced with the question of whether they are the same perpetrators. “We are looking at which traces match,” explained police spokeswoman Astrid Kuchta. It is also being investigated whether there are connections to other break-ins that took place in the region, particularly in Jerichower Land. Several break-ins were recently reported there, in which the perpetrators broke in through patio doors and windows.
