New head coach for Pirmasens Praetorians: Jens Mollnau takes over!

The Pirmasens Praetorians have a new head coach! Jens Mollnau, who most recently worked for the Hildesheim Invaders, is taking over from Patrick Niedenzu at the FKP American football team.

The Praetorians were promoted to the Regionalliga as Oberliga champions in 2023, but the 2024 season was disappointing with only one win. "Patrick quit on his own. After three years as head coach, he wanted to have more time for his family," explained Mario Kapila, the head of the Praetorians. A new beginning is now upon us!

An experienced trainer takes over

Mollnau has almost 20 years of experience as a football coach. The 53-year-old from Goslar in the Harz Mountains will live in Pirmasens from January and work from home in his main job. He will be introduced to the team on Thursday – an exciting moment for everyone involved! His assistant will be Heiko Wilhelm, which will provide additional support.

But that's not all! The American Lamar Hall has been hired by the Saarland Hurricanes as the new quarterback and offensive coordinator. A strategic move that could take the Praetorians' offensive to a new level!
