The sparkling Christmas houses in Saarland: A sea of lights in 2024!
During the festive season, numerous Christmas houses in Germany light up and captivate people. In Saarland, some of these decorated pieces of jewelry have established themselves as real attractions. For example, there is a magnificently decorated house in St. Wendel-Saal, which impresses with around 20,000 LEDs and a six-meter-high, inflatable Santa Claus. The 17-year-old decorator Leon Krausch has created a magical Christmas atmosphere here that is already attracting many visitors. The house is so popular that it has its own website showcasing the festive highlights, such as SOL.DE reported.
Another fantastic example is the Lorson family's Christmas house in Überherrn-Berus and the extraordinary light display in Bliesen, which even shows up to 25,000 lights in its garden. These impressive illuminations provide an uplifting Christmas experience and turn the region's streets into festive highlights. But it's not just in Saarland that the houses shine brightly, Thuringia also has a sight to offer: Eileen Brettschneider and Florian Rehsnick have made their Christmas house in Ottmannshausen shine again. Every year, several thousand energy-saving LED lights go into the decoration, which costs over 20,000 euros Thuringia24 reported. Even an old horse-drawn sleigh serves as a highlight, introducing Santa Claus from the Ore Mountains and thus underlining the festive atmosphere.
These festive homes are not only a popular attraction for visitors, but also a source of joy, especially during a challenging time. Both couples dedicate a lot of time and effort to putting a smile on people's faces and bringing the contemplative atmosphere of the Christmas season to life. The Christmas decorations can be admired every evening until 9:30 p.m. and in the morning from 6:30 a.m. to 7:30 a.m.
