Speyer, Deutschland - In Speyer, life blooms! Alexandra launched a dance café that not only fights against loneliness, but also conquers the hearts of people. Since May 2024, the space has been transformed into a pulsating center full of music and movement, and the response is overwhelming: over 80 dance -loving seniors flock to the monthly events to dance, chat together and to strengthen yourself over coffee and cake.

The idea came Alexandra, a committed community sister, through her own childhood, which was characterized by music and dance. "I wanted to create something that brings joy to the elderly," she explains. And she did it! The participants are enthusiastic and ask impatiently after the next appointment. For many, like 90-year-old Ottilie, the dance café is a bright spot in everyday life. After the loss of her life partner, she found new strength and joie de vivre.

But the dance café not only offers a stage for the love of music. Gerlinde, who was destroyed after a mourning case, not only rediscovered her passion for dancing, but also found a new partner. Together with Karl-Heinz, she is now dancing and describing the feeling of being "born new". Alexandra is pleased about the success of her initiative: "It is important to respond to people's needs and give them the joy of life." The dance café thus becomes a monthly highlight that promotes joie de vivre and community.
