The run-up to Christmas is a feast for the senses in the Rhine-Westerwald region! The popular event series “Advent on the Farms” starts on November 23, 2024 and promises an unforgettable experience for all gourmets and connoisseurs. A total of 18 different offers invite you to discover, shop and enjoy regional delicacies over five weekends. The initiative, which was launched by the Rhine-Westerwald Nature Park and the economic development agency of the Neuwied district, highlights the importance of regional products and shows what the region has to offer.

A look behind the scenes

“Advent on the Farms” not only offers the opportunity to get to know the products of natural enjoyment producers, but also direct contact with the producers. District Administrator Achim Hallerbach emphasizes: “We will only value what we know.” This series of events creates transparency and a relationship of trust between producers and consumers. Visitors can look forward to an atmospheric atmosphere in which regional food and drinks take center stage. The offerings often come directly from our own farm, and handicrafts from regional exhibitors are also part of the program.

The farmers and regional producers open their doors and invite you to a pre-Christmas country party. Here visitors can not only taste and shop, but also take the opportunity to find original Christmas gifts. “We want to create small, authentic and atmospheric pleasure offerings,” explains Jörg Hohenadl, project manager of the Nature Enjoyment Initiative.
