The pre-Christmas period becomes a festival of the senses in the Rhein-Westerwald region! From November 23, 2024, the popular series of events "Advent on the farms" will start and promises an unforgettable experience for all gourmets and connoisseurs. On five weekends, a total of 18 different offers invite you to discover, shop and enjoy the regional delicacies. The initiative, which was launched by the Rhein-Westerwald Nature Park and the Economic Development of the Neuwied district, emphasizes the importance of regional products and shows what the region has to offer.

A look behind the scenes

"Advent on the farms" not only offers the opportunity to get to know the products of the natural enjoyment producers, but also direct contact with the producers. District Administrator Achim Hallerbach emphasizes: "We will only appreciate what we know." This series of events creates transparency and a relationship of trust between producers and consumers. Visitors can look forward to an atmospheric atmosphere in which regional dishes and drinks are the focus. Often the offers come directly from their own farm, and handicrafts of regional exhibitors are also part of the program.

The farmers and regional generators open their doors and invite you to a pre -Christmas country. Here visitors can not only try and shop, but also take the opportunity to find original Christmas presents. "We want to create small, authentic and atmospheric enjoyment offers," explains Jörg Hohenadl, project manager of the natural enjoyment initiative.
