250 wine lovers celebrate the Ahrwein tasting of the year!

Rodderhof, Ahrweiler, Deutschland - A breathtaking spectacle for wine lovers took place in the Rodderhof in Ahrweiler! The Ahrwein e.V. invited to the second edition of the popular tasting "Test the Best", and the response was overwhelming: Around 250 wine lovers poured into the halls to try over 130 exquisite wines from the Ahr Valley. Supported by the Kreissparkasse Ahrweiler, the event became an unforgettable experience for everyone who wanted to enjoy the delicious drops of the region.

The guests had the opportunity to try six categories: classics, premium, cult wine, blanc de noir, early builder and white burgundy. 22 wineries, including all three cooperatives and the VDP companies, presented their best wines. Carolin Groß from Ahrwein e.V. was enthusiastic about the variety of wines offered and the high quality that the region has to offer. "We are very happy about the great response to our event," she said. Thanks to Daniel Hempen, who provided additional areas on the ground floor of his hotel, more guests were able to take part and experience the wines up close.

In the historic wine cellar, Ahrweinkönig Annabell Stodden and Ahrweinprinzessin Laura Nietgen delighted visitors in the winning lounge, where this year's winning wines of the Ahrwein were presented. Guido Mombauer, board member of the Kreissparkasse Ahrweiler, praised the event and emphasized its importance: "With this format we are making a sign of the future of the region. Viticulture contributes significantly to the attractiveness of the Ahr Valley, and we are proud to be able to make our contribution as a regional bank."
