Reichenbach-Steegen: A village becomes a musical highlight!

Reichenbach-Steegen has successfully completed the development process into a “Musikantenlanddorf”. This was recognized at an event at which Mayor Kathrin Wolf presented the signs for the four districts. District Administrator Ralf Leßmeister praised the village community's active participation in the inter-communal TRAFO project “Westpfälzer Musikantenland”.

As part of the project, large marble runs are planned for the playgrounds in the districts, which are scheduled to be implemented in spring 2025. The event also included presentations of sewn workpieces, readings from the “hierzulande” writing workshop and a dance performance from the “Reichenbach-Steegen dances” workshop, accompanied by music from the Reichenbach Music Association.

About the TRAFO project

In the first round of funding, the local community of Niederkirchen received the title “Musikantenlanddorf”. In the second year of the competition, Reichenbach-Steegen and the communities of Enkenbach-Alsenborn, Brücken and Jettenbach applied for this title. The project is scheduled to be completed in the Kusel and Kaiserslautern districts by the end of 2025.
