Reichenbach-Stegen: A village becomes a musical highlight!

Reichenbach-Steegen, Deutschland - Reichenbach steals successfully completed the development process for the “Musikantenlanddorf”. This was recognized in an event at which the Mayor Kathrin Wolf presented the signs for the four districts. District Administrator Ralf Leßmeister praised the active participation of the village community in the inter-municipal transformer project "Westpfälzer Musikantenland".

As part of the project, large marble runs are planned for the playgrounds in the districts, the implementation of which is to take place in spring 2025. The event also included presentations of sewn workpieces, readings from the writing workshop "in this country" as well as a dance performance from the workshop "Reichenbach-Stegen dances", musically framed by the Reichenbach music club.

The “West Palatinate Musician Land” project aims to shape the regional cultural landscape and establish sustainable partnerships. Trafo, a program of the federal cultural foundation, focuses on supporting rural regions in Germany to open their cultural institutions to new tasks. The importance of culture is strengthened in public perception and the cultural-political structures in municipalities, as westpfaelzer-musikenand.de reported.

In the first round of funding, the local community of Niederkirchen received the title "Musikantenlanddorf". In the second year of tender, Reichenbach steals and the municipalities of Enkenbach-Alsenborn, Brücken and Jettenbach applied for this title. The project should be completed in the Kusel and Kaiserslautern districts by the end of 2025.
