Flea and flea markets, the focus will be on private sellers who stock up their stands with household items and second-hand clothing. "We deliberately avoided new goods," explains Suermann. Even in bad weather, visitors don't have to worry because the event is independent of the weather - the large hall offers protection for everyone present. The address of the market is Corvey/at the harbor, a picturesque place.
The peculiarity of the flea market
On October 13, not only junk and antiques are waiting for visitors. Where plant rarities could still be admired as part of the State Garden Show last year, the flea market visitors can now find treasures from cellars and attics. "Flea market visitors are on a treasure hunt like discoverers," says Suermann. "Every purchase is something spontaneous, and often you don't even know what to expect." The atmosphere of the discovery magically attracts real flea market lovers, who often visit several markets in one day.
The experience of S.V.S. The organizer extends over 30 years and includes numerous markets in the East Westphalia-Lippe region. The anticipation seems great and the interest in participating for new exhibitors is also available. If you want to be there as a provider, you can register on 01712884978
In addition to the flea market, there are some special attractions in the archaeology park. Interested parties can acquire original medieval stones that were discovered as part of live excavations by city archeologist Ralf Mahytka. Mahytka explains that there will only be a limited edition of 50 of these stones that are provided with a certificate of authenticity. "A fascinating relic from the exciting history of the city of Höxter," continued Mahytka. The price is 5 euros per stone, and each buyer can buy one.
Another highlight are the free tours of the archaeology park, which take place at 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. Here, visitors have the opportunity to learn a lot about the lost city, which is buried deep in the ground. This city was destroyed in 1265 by the Paderborn bishop and the residents of Höxter and is of great importance from a scientific perspective.
The augmented reality representations that will be presented to visitors on October 13th are also particularly interesting. These show various historical buildings and streets of the former city virtually on smartphones or tablets, which makes history tangible in a modern way.The flea market is not only suitable for adult buyers; There are also numerous options for entertainment for the children. While the adults browse in peace, the little ones in the archaeology sand box can dig a real finds or explore the big adventure playground. For the adventurous, there is even a 17 -meter -high climbing tower that used to serve as a chipboard of a sawmill. Entry during the flea market is also free of charge.
