Gelsenkirchen-Ückendorf.The “Ückzauber”, a popular Christmas market in Gelsenkirchen, returns in December 2024 and promises two days full of celebrations and a festive atmosphere. After two successful years in 2022 and 2023, there is great anticipation for the new edition.
The first two events on Schulte-im-Hofe-Platz attracted a lot of attention and enthusiasm among visitors. These positive experiences are reason enough for the organizers to hold the event again next year. The goal is to strengthen the community and promote comfortable coexistence among residents.
Details about the festival program
On St. Nicholas Day, December 6th, the event begins with a so-called “glow-up”. From 6 p.m., guests can look forward to mulled wine and other drinks while socializing. The celebrations can last until around 10 p.m. before the big Christmas market opens the next day. The District Christmas Market takes place on Saturday December 7th from 1pm to 10pm and offers a wide range of local delicacies, drinks and crafts.
The organizers have already attracted a large number of dealers who have built up a loyal fan base over the years. However, the space for additional dealers is already optimally filled, which is why Marius Rupieper's team cannot accept any new inquiries at the moment. Anyone who would still like to make a contribution – be it in the form of support or financial help – is welcome to get in touch. The organizers look forward to any involvement from the neighborhood.
