Scholz fights for traffic light coalition: urgent conversations on coping with crisis!
Kanzleramt, Berlin, Deutschland - Berlin - the political stage trembles! Chancellor Olaf Scholz met in the evening with finance minister Christian Lindner in the Chancellery, a conversation that had been on the plan for a long time. This was done in advance of crucial discussions with Minister of Economic Affairs Robert Habeck, who could significantly influence the future of the traffic light coalition.
In the next few days there will be several three-way calls on the agenda, the first on Monday. On Wednesday evening, the coalition committee gathers, in which the top of the parties are also represented. Here is everything about the pressing questions: How do we stuff the billion dollar hole in the federal budget before the decisive meeting of the budget committee on November 14th? And how do we combat the economic crisis that keeps Germany in a strangle area?
The central challenges
Habeck and Lindner are already bringing concepts, while Scholz is working on a “pact for industry” with representatives from business and unions. These two topics could lead the coalition to the edge of the abyss! The meeting of the coalition committee, which was scheduled weeks ago, is the first since the summer break and could be decisive for the political survival of the traffic light coalition.
