Bochum shaken by drug and weapon finds!

On Monday evening, November 18th, a shocking emergency operation by the Bochum police, the main customs office in Dortmund and the municipal public order service (KOD) led to a wave of excitement in the city. Under the strict gaze of the officials, numerous business premises in the heart of Bochum, in Hamme and Wattenscheid were closely examined. What they discovered was anything but harmless: illegal trafficking in drugs, weapons and untaxed e-cigarettes!

Plainclothes police officers struck a kiosk in Bochum-Werne and found not only cannabis, but also a significant amount of amphetamines. The police did not shy away and searched the kiosk operator's car and apartment - a considerable amount of cash was seized there. But that was just the beginning! In a kiosk in the city center, the police found a one-hand knife with a dangerous brass knuckles - a violation of the weapons law that was punishable by a criminal complaint. There were also several fake ID documents in the counter drawer of a cell phone shop, while fake designer bags and belts were seized in Wattenscheid, which led to further reports of trademark violations.

Customs and KOD show determination!

During its inspections, customs became aware of five cases of untaxed e-cigarettes, which led to corresponding criminal charges. The KOD was active in ten stores and punished numerous violations of the packaging law and price information. This decisive action sends a clear message - the authorities are vigilant and committed to the safety of citizens. Bochum can prepare for future key operations, because the fight against crime of all kinds continues!
