Kelvin Arase shines with a goal: Waldhof Mannheim wins a point against Bielefeld
Kelvin Arase inspires football fans! The 25-year-old Austrian scored again on Sunday afternoon in the 3rd league game between Waldhof Mannheim and Arminia Bielefeld. In the Carl Benz Stadium at home, it was Arase who beat the Bielefeld keeper Kersken with a great shot in the 60th minute and thus secured the lead for his team. But despite his strong performance, the game ended in a 1-1 draw after Bielefeld equalized through Nsumbu in the 79th minute Laola1 reported.
This goal was Arase's second of the season, having already played numerous games for Waldhof Mannheim. The winger, who comes from Rapid Vienna, has played in 18 of 19 games so far this season, but often initially as a joker off the bench. His remarkable career began in Rapid's youth ranks, where he made his Bundesliga debut at just 17 years old and enjoyed some success before moving to Karlsruher SC in 2023 Mannheimer Nachrichten reported.
A new path for Arase
Kelvin Arase recently made the move from Karlsruher SC to Waldhof Mannheim, where he now wears the diamond on his chest. Arase was born in Nigeria but moved to Vienna at the age of six, which laid the foundation for his football career. During his time at Rapid Vienna, he made a total of 105 appearances with 13 goals and 15 assists. His signing was seen by Tim Schork, sports director of SV Waldhof, as an important step for the team's offensive game. Arase himself emphasized that he made a conscious decision to make the move and is full of enthusiasm to quickly integrate into the new team.
