Burglaries shock queer clubs in Aachen: What's behind it?
Horrific burglaries shake the queer community in Aachen! It's hard to believe that Rainbow Aachen and the queer department at the Aachen universities were broken into several times within just a few days. The horror has reached its peak, and now everyone is wondering: Is it all connected?
According to a shocking report by “Aachener Nachrichten”, the thefts at Rainbow Aachen occurred on October 17th and 23rd. During the first break-in, the unscrupulous burglars stole a small amount of cash and a games console provided by board member Andreas Sommer. The second robbery was even more audacious: the thieves cracked the counter cash register and left a mess of damaged doors behind. This is the seventh break-in this year! In April, another shocking burglary was recorded in which laptops, microphones, donation boxes and tools were stolen - all in the name of crime!
Suspicious activities at universities
The nightmare doesn't stop here! Near the Rainbow Aachen, just 200 meters away, the queer department of the Aachen universities was the target of a break-in on October 20th. Here the entrance doors were broken open and filing cabinets ransacked, but what a disappointment - nothing was stolen! The next shock came on October 25th: the perpetrators stole a massive safe weighing a whopping 100 kilograms, as CEO Michelle Willamowski reported to the “Aachener Nachrichten”. What was in this safe remains a secret!
The two affected clubs have now filed a police report. But the question remains: are these reprehensible acts really linked? The police cannot yet provide any information about this. However, one thing is certain - the queer community in Aachen is asked more than ever to stick together and defend themselves against crime!
