AS Monaco celebrates with 3,500 young talents: A celebration for football!
On Friday, the Stade Louis-II experienced a spectacular event: Over 3,500 licensed amateur footballers from the region and Italy streamed into the arena to loudly support the red and white of AS Monaco! This impressive gathering was part of the “Tous au Stade” initiative, launched in 2021 and once again a resounding success. With the support of the Ligue Méditerranée and the District Côte d'Azur, the event brought together over 3,500 young talents who enthusiastically cheered on their team.
The atmosphere in the stadium was electric! The stands glowed in a colorful sea of red, green, yellow, orange and sky blue, reflecting the proud colors of over 60 amateur clubs. The young fans were able to enjoy official posters of the team for the 2024/2025 season, while they supported their players with full dedication until the final whistle. 700 young supporters from Italian clubs such as AS Andora and US Dolceacqua were also among the spectators, which made the event even more international.
“Carton Vert” initiative for fair play
Another highlight of the day was the Ligue Méditerranée’s “Carton Vert” event, which took place at the Center de Performance. This initiative, which has been in place for five years for the U14 Men, U18 Futsal and U18 Women, recognizes exemplary behavior and fair play among amateur players. This year the focus was on women's football and around thirty players were honored for their outstanding achievements.
The ceremony was conducted by senior league and district officials and the fair play best player, AS Cannes' Gabrielle Cottalorda, received a jersey with her name on it. “The invitation from AS Monaco to be present at both the Center de Performance and the Stade Louis-II is the icing on the cake for these young women,” emphasized the league director. This close cooperation between AS Monaco and amateur football shows once again the club's strong connection to the local football community.
