Salzgitter, Deutschland - Salzgitter shines in a new light! On 15 and 16 November, the city center of Lebenstedt turns into a magical underwater paradise. Mayor Frank Klingebiel announces a spectacle in which the green spaces become colorful coral reefs and dazzling ocean dwellers adorn the streets. A stunning lantern parade of children from the local kindergartens and primary schools gives the event an impressive starting signal at 5:30 p.m. The cabaret area is enriched by mystical sea creatures and talented artists - an experience for young and old!

Not only the underwater event, but also the Advent season brings shine to Salzgitter. From November 29 to December 22, the old town of Salzgitter-Bad is immersed in a sparkling Christmas atmosphere. In the idyllic rose garden, visitors can enjoy their hot drinks comfortably while enchanting Advent lights shine. In addition, spectacular stilts and walking acts will regularly take guests into the festive mood, regardless of whether they are alone or with friends. A real highlight for everyone who wants to enjoy the pre -Christmas season to the fullest!

The financial means for these extraordinary events come from the nationwide funding program "Future -capable inner cities and centers (ZIZ)". The city of Salzgitter is investing around 185,000 euros in the two light festivals, of which 90 percent are covered by grants. "These events bring great benefit to Salzgitter and attract many visitors who are looking for special experiences!" Said Klingebiel. A sign that the city is willing to invest in its future and enrich social life while the sparkling lights illuminate the streets!
