Höxter: 18-year-old rolls over with BMW - train traffic stopped!
There was a dramatic traffic accident in Höxter on October 27, 2025 when an 18-year-old BMW driver from Holzminden lost control of his vehicle at 12:05 p.m. Together with his 17-year-old passenger, he and his 17-year-old passenger veered off Godelheimer Straße in a combination of curves due to excessive speed.
The consequences were devastating: the young driver tore down a barrier with a traffic light and overturned the vehicle. The BMW ended up on the train tracks, which led to an immediate stop to train traffic. Fortunately, both occupants only suffered minor injuries. While the accident was being recorded, the B64 remained completely closed at times, which led to significant traffic delays.
Big chaos at the railway crossing
Traffic control at the level crossing is currently being taken over by railway employees in order to defuse the situation. The material damage is estimated at around 20,000 euros. The clean-up work and recovery of the BMW took several hours while the entire area around the scene of the accident was cordoned off.
