New board of TuS Sankt Hülfe-Heede: Hendrik Wiechering takes over!

The situation at TuS Sankt Hülfe-Heede has recently improved significantly as the club now has a full board. At an extraordinary meeting, Hendrik Wiechering was elected as the new first chairman. This election came into effect after the previous chairman, Rainer Weghöft, resigned and the association was unable to find a successor during the regular annual general meeting.

The meeting took place in Diepholz, where numerous members of the association were present. Around seven months ago, Janneck Bruns, who previously served as second chairman, took over the office of first chairman on a provisional basis. However, this circumstance was not a long-term solution for the club. With Weghöft's resignation, it was urgently necessary to establish a stable management style.

Hendrik Wiechering new first chairman

At the meeting, two candidates were finally up for election for the office of first chairman: Hendrik Wiechering and Steffen Antrecht. Ralf Müller, who was present as mayor, had already suggested Wiechering in advance. In order to avoid a controversy, the board decided to hold an internal meeting, after which it became clear that Antrecht would forego his candidacy. Wiechering was then elected without a dissenting vote - the only thing that didn't count was his own abstention.

After his election, Wiechering said he planned to actively work for the stability of his hometown club. With experience as treasurer for nine years, he brings a broad range of experience to his new role. "All areas are important to me. TuS is not just a football club," he stated, which presents him as a versatile and committed chairman.

Changes in other board positions

With the election of Wiechering as chairman, there was a change within the board. Janneck Bruns announced that he would also be stepping down as second chairman for professional reasons. Markus Ippen will now take over the position in his place. He had previously been secretary and therefore had to find a successor for this position. Thomas Koppesch was elected to take over the secretary duties from now on.

The decision was also made that Tarek Schmidt will act as youth officer after he had already held this position on a provisional basis. The position of treasurer will continue to be held by Jonas Berkemeyer as he has been re-confirmed in his position. All elections were held with the broad approval of those present, with only those elected not voting.

These renewals within the board of TuS Sankt Hülfe-Heede show that the association is able to react quickly to changes and organize itself. In view of the new developments, it is expected that the association's work will be strengthened in the coming period and that members will be able to continue to be actively involved.
