In a dramatic blow to drug crime, the Cuxhaven police station executed two search warrants in Delmenhorst and Stadland on Thursday morning, November 7, 2024. The investigators targeted a 46-year-old woman from Delmenhorst and her 42-year-old partner. The police, supported by the Aurich public prosecutor's office, discovered a professional laboratory for the production of synthetic narcotics in an empty inn on Stadlander Strasse!
The search revealed a well-equipped drug laboratory where the illegal substances were produced. Extensive evidence, including dangerous chemicals and all drug manufacturing equipment, was seized and removed. To ensure the safety of emergency responders, a special decontamination lock was set up and officers wore protective clothing during their risky operation.
Investigations continue
The precise analysis of the seized drugs is now being carried out by the Lower Saxony State Criminal Police Office. The two suspects were found at their place of residence during the search, but were released on site after police operations were completed. The investigation into other possible accomplices and operators of the laboratory is ongoing, but for tactical reasons no further information is currently being published.
Numerous forces from the Cuxhaven and Delmenhorst/Oldenburg-Land/Wesermarsch police stations, the LKA Lower Saxony as well as the technical operations unit of the Central Police Directorate and the fire department were involved in this large-scale operation. The Aurich public prosecutor's office is available to answer any questions.
