Kyffhäuser district. An exciting chapter for the left in the Kyffhäuser district begins! The new leadership figures were elected at a gripping district party meeting in Bad Frankenhausen - and with overwhelming approval!
The fate of the left in the Kyffhäuser district now lies in the hands of Donata Vogtschmidt and Kersten Steinke, who lead the new district board as dual female leadership. Both candidates ran unopposed and were elected with a “large majority,” as Marion Wegener-Haas proudly announced. The meeting was a truly historic moment that demonstrated the strength and cohesion of the party.
A strong team at the top
The new board is complemented by Angela Trommer-Köhler as treasurer. Other members are Karin Beier, Torsten Blümel, Lukas Keßler, Dirk Oloff, Marion Wegener-Haas, Florian Franke, Sigrid Rößner and the previous district chairman Andras Blume-Strotzer. The age range of the participants ranged from 17 to 90, which shows that the Left in the Kyffhäuser district is a colorful and committed community.
A special highlight of the meeting was the visit by Katja Mitteldorf, the parliamentary manager of the left-wing faction in the Thuringian state parliament. She spoke about the new challenges and opportunities that await the left-wing faction in the state parliament. In addition, Angela Trommer-Köhler was sent off into retirement with a heartfelt thank you after working for many years as a personal employee of the former Bundestag member Kersten Steinke and the former state parliament member Donata Vogtschmidt.
The expectations of the new leadership duo are high: “Continuous, committed and imaginative work,” the comrades demanded. The focus is on strengthening the connection to the party base and intensifying contact with the people in the region. Solutions for the concerns and needs of citizens should be developed together. A clear call to action!
