Nentmannsdorf: Light workshop instead of Christmas market – a festival of craftsmanship!

In Nentmannsdorf the pre-Christmas season is ushered in with a special event! On November 16th, the “Lights Workshop” opens its doors and offers a festive atmosphere that is all about craftsmanship. Instead of a traditional Christmas market, which is considered inappropriate before the Sunday of the Dead, the event invites you to immerse yourself in the world of creative craftsmen and discover their unique products.

Carpenter Steven Kraftschenko and his team present handmade unique pieces and works of art that not only invite you to marvel at them, but also to buy them. “The visitors are happy to have conversations with us craftsmen and exhibitors in a workshop atmosphere,” reports Kraftschenko. The arch of lights made of oak branches, which is offered in a limited edition, is particularly popular. Each bow is unique and can be customized - a perfect gift for the upcoming holidays!

Master florist as guest exhibitor

This year, the Saxon state floristry champion Rocco Wustmann from the Wohütt nursery enriches the light workshop with his creative arrangement creations. The textile artist Katerina Schiekel and the macrame specialist Dajana Behrendt are also represented with their unique works. The diversity of exhibitors promises an unforgettable experience for all visitors!

But the craft doesn’t end with the lights workshop! Two days after the event, Kraftschenko and his colleague fly to Ibiza to build cabins for a boat. “I know my way around there, have a lot of contacts and am there often,” he says. But don't worry, the two of them will be back in time for Christmas to enjoy the festive season in Nentmannsdorf.

The light workshop will take place on November 16th from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. in Nentmannsdorf, No. 61. An event not to be missed!
