Get started with gymnastics stars: Children's gymnastics festival on November 10th in Mainz!

The upcoming “Kinder Joy of Moving Children’s Gymnastics Day” is causing excitement in Mainz! TSV SCHOTT Mainz will host this exciting event for the first time on November 10, 2023, which not only invites children to an active day, but also aims to awaken enthusiasm for gymnastics. It will be an excellent opportunity for the little ones to do sports and have a lot of fun.

A special attraction is the presence of gymnastics stars who are looking forward to the event. Among the experts the children can meet in Mainz are Olympic champion Darja Varfolomeev and the multi-talented Andy Toba - both will give the children tips and actively train with them. This opportunity to learn with the best and benefit from their experiences is a unique experience for the young gymnasts.

The gymnastics stars in detail

The athletes who will be present at the event are impressive: Andy Toba, a multiple German champion and European runner-up in 2021, and Darja Varfolomeev, who not only became an Olympic champion but also the 2023 world champion in rhythmic gymnastics. Margarita Kolosov, the 2024 Olympic fourth-place finisher in the same discipline, and many other talented athletes are also supporting the event.

In addition to signing autographs, all of these athletes will train alongside the children, giving them the opportunity to experience first-hand what it means to be a professional.

The day will have the motto “Circus Child”, which will stimulate children’s imagination and immerse them in a fairytale circus world. The children can try out being acrobats, jugglers or circus artists and learn how entertaining and joyful exercise can be. They will also get to know different gymnastics equipment and experience how much fun gymnastics is.

Another highlight will be the “Kinder Joy of Moving gymnastics course”, which gives young participants the opportunity to take part in various exercises, including obstacle jumps, cartwheels and balance exercises. This is an ideal way to convey the joy of movement and promote children's motor skills.

Participation and registration

To ensure that as many children as possible can take part in this special day, the event was divided into four time slots:

• 10:00 – 11:30 Uhr
• 11:30 – 13:00 Uhr
• 13:00 – 14:30 Uhr
• 14:30 – 16:00 Uhr
