Ceremonial anniversary: 10 years of youth temple in the Schwerin castle garden!
Schweriner Schlossgarten, 19053 Schwerin, Deutschland - Schwerin - an important event was celebrated on December 6, 2024: the tenth anniversary of the youth temple in the southern part of the Schwerin castle garden. The youth temple, which was launched ten years ago as a joint project by the Schwerin district craftsman and numerous local partners, is now a popular event location for cultural events. The memories of the first steps of the project were alive at a festive mulled wine meeting of the initiators, as Snaktuell.de
The idea of building a youth temple took shape during the 2009 Federal Garden Show. Under the direction of Gerd Güll and supported by Dr. Irmela Grempler and architect Michael Mikolajczyk, the building was realized between 2010 and 2014. It consists of artfully turned wooden pillars, a stable construction and an impressive slate roof with a golden ball. The implementation was a major challenge for everyone involved, which, however, was overcome, which is why the suspicion of failure was potentially threatened. The financing was secured by local donations, including the sale of thematically suitable cookies and liqueurs. A decisive support came from the state of Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, which doubled every collected donation, such as "https://schwerin-lokal.de/zehn-jugendeinpel-ein-jubilaeum-im-scharten/"> Schwerin-lokal.de
a place of cultural experiences
The youth temple has established itself as an integral part of the cultural landscape of Schwerin since its opening. With events such as concerts in a picturesque environment, he enjoys a large audience. To celebrate its tenth anniversary, the castle club is planning several events, including an anniversary concert in May 2025 and a traditional concert series with a final fire show in September. These anniversary events promise additional highlights for visitors and strengthen the connection between the cultural scene and the citizens of the city.
