Maibach Logistik: Starting again with 20 employees after bankruptcy!

Six months ago, Maibach Logistik GmbH was on the brink of disaster. With only 20 employees remaining after a dramatic decline from 55, the company filed for self-administration bankruptcy. The management, in collaboration with consultants, has developed an insolvency plan that is now legally binding. Attorney Daniel Barth predicts that the process will be completed in the first quarter of 2025. Despite the tough cuts, the management is optimistic: “Amicable solutions were reached with the 35 employees who left,” emphasizes the company.

Causes of the crisis

The crisis was triggered by the loss of two major key customers, which led to a dramatic decline in sales. "The cuts in the company were enormous. We had to adapt the workforce to the changed order conditions," explains Johannes Dyrda, who founded the shipping company in 2013 and continues to act as managing director. Despite the challenges, Dyrda is looking positively into the future: “With our powerful team, we are now well positioned to continue to offer reliable services for our customers.” Maibach Logistik is a medium-sized family business that specializes in Germany-wide parcel delivery and regional freight transport.
