Free bus and train trips for vacationers in Oberallgäu!

From November 12th, the Oberallgäu will become a hotspot for travelers! Vacationers who stay in the participating cities and municipalities can look forward to a sensational news: free trips by bus and train to Lake Constance! A real dream for everyone who wants to explore the region!

A total of 17 municipalities have come together to offer their guests this unique “Mobil-Pass-Allgäu”. This passport, which is largely financed by spa contributions, enables holidaymakers to use public transport in the region at no additional costs. At a solemn event in the Sonthofen mobility center, the project was officially launched, which in the past ensured some controversy. Not all communities are there from the start, and there are plans to later include other regions such as the Kleinwalsertal.

A step into the future of mobility

The introduction of the mobile pass is a significant step towards more environmentally friendly and more user-friendly mobility in the Oberallgäu. Those responsible hope that this initiative not only boosts tourism, but also promotes the use of public transport. However, the discussions about the participation of the various municipalities show that not everyone agrees to the concept, which will make implementation exciting in the future.
