Cologne: Police strike! Two wanted criminals arrested
On Thursday, November 14th, the Cologne police celebrated two spectacular manhunt successes! A wanted criminal was caught in Cologne-Kalk, who was wanted on two arrest warrants for possession of child pornographic content. The 49-year-old was sentenced two months ago to a total sentence of three years and five months, but before he could begin his prison sentence, he went into hiding!
Thanks to targeted investigations by the police, the officers were finally able to track down the man in the Cologne Arcades. He was immediately transferred to a correctional facility, where he must now serve his sentence. But that wasn't all! On the same day, the Cologne police arrested another wanted criminal - a 39-year-old who was wanted on four arrest warrants. This man had, among other things, committed criminal offenses through robbery in Cologne.
Raid in Remscheid
The police did not allow themselves to be stopped and searched the 39-year-old's apartment in Remscheid. The officers came across a veritable treasure trove of crime: over 100 grams of amphetamine, a debit card that had been reported stolen and a suspected stolen ID card were seized. Another blow to crime in Cologne – the police are staying tuned!
