Frankfurt (Oder)faces a chilling dilemma! Hundreds of households have to prepare for cold showers and shivering nights because the municipal utility's district heating network is being repaired. The city has announced that supply will be interrupted on November 19th and 20th to repair damage in the Red Chapel area.

The city administration emphasizes that interruptions should be kept as short as possible. But the affected citizens have to be prepared for restrictions until the afternoon hours. “We are trying to keep the interruptions as short as possible on both days,” the city said in a statement. The list of affected addresses is long and includes several high-rise buildings and residential complexes, including the Pablo Neruda Block and Kleiststrasse.
