On Thursday, November 7th, 2024, at 2 p.m., a moving event will take place in Munich! The Alice Bendix municipal vocational school center at Antonienstrasse 6 is celebrating its 20th anniversary of its naming. An event that not only honors the past, but also focuses on the future!
The celebrations will be accompanied by high-profile guests: Mayor Verena Dietl, city school councilor Florian Kraus, government school director Stefan Pauler and school principal Kathrin Eckl will give greetings. They are reminiscent of the moving story of Alice Bendix, who ran the children's home of the Israelitische Jugendhilfe e.V. since 1935 before the National Socialists liquidated the home and deported the residents in 1942. Bendix, who fought tirelessly for the children entrusted to her care, was murdered in the Auschwitz concentration camp in 1943. Your story is an urgent call to remembrance and responsibility!
