In a remarkable gesture of solidarity, 84-year-old Wilfried Homuth from Hofgeismar has decided to donate his entire savings to charity. “I have now reached the end of my life and would like to do something good with my money,” explained Homuth, who has already donated 65,000 euros to various organizations. Among the beneficiaries is the Tafel in Hofgeismar, which urgently needs support. “We are using this to finance part of the repair costs on the food bank bus from last year,” said food bank coordinator Frauke Wiegand. His experiences motivate him to help others: “Everyone who is feeling better should think about how they can help other people,” says Homuth.
