Experience the moving story of St. Martin - a festival of charity in Lüdenscheid!

An impressive event is coming up in Lüdenscheid: Next Saturday, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., the Phenomenta and the CVJM invite you to the traditional St. Martin's Day parade. Visitors are invited to experience the history of St. Martin in a particularly lively way. The tour begins at the main entrance of the Phenomenta and leads along Friedhofsstrasse and through the gardens of the CVJM Lüdenscheid West e.V.

Along the way, actors from the Phenomenta and the CVJM will recreate various stages of St. Martin's history, making the event an interactive experience. A highlight is the horse, which symbolizes St. Martin, and the children can look forward to a colorful and lively performance.

Culinary delicacies and musical accompaniment

After the tour, we go back to the Phenomenta, where visitors have the opportunity to warm themselves in fire baskets and bake stick bread. A variety of culinary offerings await participants - from St. Martin's pretzels to hot drinks and grilled sausages. The musical accompaniment is provided by the brass instruments of the CVJM, and there is a station where the well-known St. Martin's songs can be sung along.

As part of this celebration, sharing is also a priority. “There is a station with a collection for Audrey’s, where you can practice sharing,” explains Gert vom Schemm, technical manager of Phenomenta. This solidarity campaign is particularly important because the CVJM children's and youth leisure center in Olpendahl was badly damaged by fire on the night of September 11th to 12th. With this collection, visitors can help directly and make a valuable contribution.

Anyone interested in taking part in the parade can decide to do so spontaneously. However, prior registration is required to purchase a pretzel. Registrations will be sent to the email address[email protected]accepted.

This St. Martin's Day festival not only offers an entertaining program, but also the opportunity to actively participate in an important solidarity campaign. It promises to be a beautiful evening for the entire community, combining a sense of tradition with a sense of community.
