Dresdner SC remains undefeated: sixth victory in the eastern duel!

Dresden. The Dresdner SC volleyball players are unstoppable! In the thrilling eastern duel on Wednesday evening, they triumphed over VfB Suhl 3-0 (25:23, 25:22, 25:20) in front of 2,743 enthusiastic fans in the Margonarena. Coach Alexander Waibl's team remains undefeated and takes sole lead in the Bundesliga - a clear blow to the champions from Stuttgart, who surprisingly lost in Potsdam.

The game was decided in just 82 minutes, but the Thuringians still have to wait for their first win of the season. Waibl commented on his team's performance: "We were a little tired and lacking energy today. It was a bit wild back and forth at the beginning, but the result speaks for itself." Particularly noteworthy is Marta Levinska, who shone as the best scorer with 24 points. However, the award for most valuable player went to the new Libera Patricia Nestler.

Brief confusion at the start of the game

There was a little excitement before the game: the Suhl women arrived late and requested that the start of the game be postponed by 15 minutes. The volleyball league initially approved the request, but without consulting the DSC. After the Dresden officials intervened, the game kicked off as planned at 7 p.m. Despite this unrest, the team remained in control and was able to gain further self-confidence before the upcoming away game against the German champions.

The next top game is scheduled for Saturday in Stuttgart, followed by an international appearance in the European Cup game against French club Nancy on November 6th. The Dresden women have no time to lose and are putting everything into a successful season!
