Chaos on the rails: Pro Bahn calls for separation from DB subsidiary!
The train chaos in Lower Saxony is taking on dramatic proportions! The Pro Bahn passenger association is sounding the alarm and demanding an immediate separation from the operator “Start Niedersachsen-Mitte”. This DB subsidiary is causing massive problems and countless train cancellations on the regional routes around Soltau in the Heidekreis. Particularly affected is the regional train 37 between Bremen and Uelzen, which is currently not running at all! There is also chaos on line 38 between Buchholz and Hanover: shortened trains and constant cancellations are the order of the day. The state chairman of Pro Bahn, Malte Diehl, is outraged: “After almost three years there is no stable operation on the Heidekreuz!”
Unsustainable conditions!
The situation is unbearable! The operating company “Start Niedersachsen-Mitte” apologizes for unscheduled maintenance work, but passengers are frustrated. “We don’t want things to continue like this until the end of the contract in 2029 or beyond,” adds Diehl. The unreliable connections have already put off many travelers. There have been no trains running between Uelzen and Bremen since June! This is a scandal that can no longer be tolerated!
The anger of the passengers is growing! The overwhelmed operating company has put commuters' patience to the test. It is high time for change because citizens deserve reliable and stable rail transport!
