New training guide PM: The best opportunities right on your doorstep!
In a remarkable event, Dr. Christoph Löwer, the councilor for the Potsdam-Mittelmark district, presented the 15th edition of the training guide for the region on October 16th. This publication, which was created in collaboration with the School & Economic Forum PM network, is aimed primarily at students and their parents in order to find out about regional training and study opportunities. The training guide is an important tool that is intended to help young people actively shape their professional future and find out directly about the opportunities in their area.
“The PM training guide is a crucial tool to support our students in their career orientation,” explained Dr. Löwer during the presentation. This brochure is intended not only to provide information, but also to promote cohesion and loyalty among young people to their region.
Breadth of possibilities in Popsdam-Mittelmark
In the current issue, 202 companies, universities and institutions from Potsdam-Mittelmark present themselves. A total of more than 3,500 training and study places are offered in 269 different professional fields. This diversity illustrates the great opportunities available to young people in the region, from classic crafts to dual study programs in various disciplines.
A particularly pleasing feature of the training guide is the variety of internships and holiday jobs offered by the participating companies. This enables students to gain initial insights into various professional fields and gain practical experience. Mandy Große from the School & Economic Forum PM network emphasized that practical experiences are often crucial when it comes to finding the right career.
The training guide aims to inform students and their parents about the numerous career opportunities in Potsdam-Mittelmark. Those in charge want to make sure young people understand how many opportunities there are right on their doorstep. “Promoting regional training and study opportunities contributes to economic development in Potsdam-Mittelmark,” emphasized Dr. Löwer and added that companies benefit from attracting talented young people from the neighborhood.
Brochure availability
The 15th edition of the training guide will be printed in a print run of 4,000 copies and distributed to all secondary schools in the region after the autumn holidays. In addition, career counselors also have access to this important source of information. In order to meet the needs of a broad target group, the brochure is also available for free download as a digital PDF version.
For many young people, choosing the right training or study place is crucial. This new edition aims to make this somewhat complex decision-making process easier. “We are grateful for the support of regional companies and universities,” noted Linda Schröder from the School & Economic Forum PM network. “Without their help, the creation of this brochure would not have been possible.”
In addition, the School & Economic Forum PM network sent a special thank you to the Mittelbrandenburgische Sparkasse, which, as the main sponsor, made a decisive contribution to the realization of the training guide. The Sparkasse and many regional companies provided financial and content support for this project.
Overall, the PM training guide is not only a helpful tool for young people's career orientation, but also plays an important role in strengthening the regional economy. “With this brochure we are creating a win-win situation: young people learn about their opportunities in the region, while companies position themselves as attractive training companies,” concluded Dr. Lion.
The training guide is now available online and will be distributed to schools in the district in the coming weeks. More information on this topic can be found in a detailed report on www.stadtblatt-online.de.
