Beer without alcohol: The new trend is conquering the shelves!

NORCH -free beer conquers the shelves of supermarkets across Europe. Current market research shows that every twelfth beer that can be found in the supermarket is now alcohol -free. This development reflects a cultural change in which consumers increasingly rely on healthier alternatives. The brewing chief Ronald van de Streek from the Netherlands explains that many generations still capture prejudices that state that non -alcoholic beer is inferior. He himself is convinced that the difference in taste is often no longer perceptible and encourages people to adopt this new perspective. The popularity of non -alcoholic beer is growing especially in student cities like Eindhoven, where there are more and more supporters who respect the decision for the waiver of alcohol, as one -time student says.

growth in the global market

Not only non -alcoholic beer is enjoying growing popularity. According to a comprehensive study by the IWSR market research institute, the consumption of non-alcoholic wine, sparkling wine and other spirits will also increase rapidly in the next few years. The analysis predicts an increase in global sales volume by a third by 2026. In 2022 alone, non-alcoholic drinks made up for more than $ 11 billion in sales in the ten largest markets. Germany remains the leading market for non -alcoholic products, followed by Japan, Spain and the USA. The sales of these healthy alternatives have already shown remarkable increase rates in the past - for example by 58 percent in Great Britain since 2019, as Drinksbusiness reported.

The market researchers expect the proportion of non -alcoholic beer to grow to around 10 percent by 2030. These trends are not only up to date, but also show that consumers are increasingly opting for alternatives that contain less or no alcohol, which revolutionizes the market for non -alcoholic drinks.
