A football festival in Munich! FC Bayern prevailed in the thrilling duel against Union Berlin with a clear 3-0 win. In front of 75,000 enthusiastic fans in the arena, Bayern showed why they are the undisputed leaders of the Bundesliga. Harry Kane shone with a brace (15th and 51st minutes) and Kingsley Coman contributed another goal (43rd minute). Union Berlin, previously in fourth place, had to slip to sixth place after this defeat.
Coach Vincent Kompany was visibly satisfied after the game: "It wasn't easy either. The first half was unpleasant. But we stayed calm and there was always a chance to decide the game. The second half was very, very good." Bayern dominated the game from the start, while Union Berlin, known for their strong defense, was unable to fend off Munich's attacks.
