Organ donations are increasing in Bavaria - hope for those in need is growing!

In Bavaria, the number of organ donations is skyrocketing! There has been an impressive increase since the beginning of the year - a whopping 370 organs were donated from January to September! This corresponds to an increase of a remarkable 90 donations compared to the previous year. These statistical successes are further confirmation of how important and valuable such life-savings are.

However, the Würzburg transplant center only contributed a modest part to this increase. Since the beginning of the year, only 51 organs have been donated - only one more donor than in the same period last year. But the Würzburg University Hospital is combative and hopes to introduce the contradiction solution. With this regulation, every citizen would automatically be considered an organ donor unless they expressly object during their lifetime. A real rethinking process for many!

Hope for more donors

With this measure, the university clinic would like to significantly increase the donor potential. It is a call for solidarity: Anyone who wants to live for themselves should also be prepared to help others. While the number of organ donations is generally increasing in Bavaria, the challenge remains to raise people's awareness of this vital issue and encourage them to take an active part. Every donated organ can significantly change the course of a person's life - and that's what counts in the end.
