Brother in anger: aggression and family dispute over mother with dementia
A drama within a family in the Starnberg district court caused a stir! The conflict between a 71-year-old son and his younger sister, which stemmed from disagreements over the care of their demented mother, escalated into shocking outbreaks of violence. The family's harmony was long gone when the son brutally attacked his sister and previously threatened his heavily pregnant niece. The electrical engineer denied all allegations, but the evidence tells a different story!
Judge Tanja Walter revealed that the descriptions of the 65-year-old sister and her daughter and son-in-law were clear and showed that the defendant is an “aggressive, choleric and psychologically abnormal person”. In an incident two years ago, he allegedly attacked his sister on a staircase while she was freshly undergoing knee surgery! Her cell phone and other objects even flew through the air. When the sister demanded her apartment key back, the man attacked her like a “steamroller,” so that the family had to live in fear.
Legal consequences for the defendant
The 73-year-old has now been convicted of threats, intentional bodily harm and violating the Violence Protection Act and has to pay a fine of 3,600 euros! Despite the clear statements from the injured parties and the violence witnessed, the man's defense attorney was unable to achieve anything in his statement. Visibly unaware of his behavior, the defendant continued to vehemently deny the allegations, revealing, according to the judge, his own inability to accept reality.
Particularly frightening was the incident in which the defendant's heavily pregnant niece was threatened by him when she met him. “He left no doubt that he would show no consideration for me either,” the niece reported in horror. Such conditions within a family not only raise alarm bells, they also shed a disturbing light on the behavior of the accused, which must be urgently questioned!
