Days of the week in German
Taking a look at the days of the week can help you better integrate these new garbage collection dates into everyday life. The weekdays in German are not only important for waste disposal, but also for planning daily life. Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday have deep cultural roots and interesting etymological backgrounds. In particular, Friday, named after the goddess Frigg, and Thursday, after the god Donar, bear witness to the mythological traditions that are rooted in the German-speaking world. These associations can help you better remember the days of the week, which is also an advantage when introducing new collection times.
