Kremlin cheers: Trump promises peace instead of confrontation with Russia!

Russia cheered on Donald Trump's victory in the US presidential election! The Kremlin expects a turn in US politics that could be less confrontative towards Moscow. "The signals are positive," announced Kremlin spokesman Dmitri Peskow on Russian state television. In contrast to Joe Biden, who is known for an aggressive attitude, Trump speaks of peace and the opportunity to solve conflicts through deals. Peskow emphasizes that Trump put peace in the foreground during the election campaign and did not talk about a strategic defeat for Russia.

Putin's congratulations and possible conversations

Putin publicly congratulated Trump on Thursday on his election victory and it is speculated that a telephone conversation between the two could take place on January 20. Peskow emphasizes that Trump acts less predictably than bidges and Harris, which Putin find more predictable. But the question remains whether Trump can actually implement his election promise.

Diplomatic relationships between Moscow and Washington are currently tense, especially because of the Russian war of aggression against Ukraine. Communication between the two countries is at a low point, with a few exceptions such as the exchange of prisoners. Critics accuse Trump of maintaining too close relationship with Russia while he claims to be able to end the Ukraine conflict quickly. The world looks forward to the upcoming developments!
