Neu-Ulm: New life on the Barfüßer site-beer garden and hotel planned!

Barfüßer-Gelände, Neu-Ulm, Deutschland - The dispute over the barefüßer site in Neu-Ulm has finally ended! Two Ulm restaurateurs, Michael Freudenberg and Oliver Loser, were awarded the contract to build a new hotel and a beer garden on the coveted property on the banks of the Danube. This decision is made after years of discussion and is just waiting to become a reality!

Michael Freudenberg, known for his restaurant at the Klosterhof and the Wilder Mann inn, as well as Oliver Loser, operator of the tavern zum Brezel and the IQ Hotels, want to open a new beer garden in spring! There were recently speculation that the “Kulturdach” association also wanted to build a social center there, but the two gastronomy pioneers are ahead. The anticipation is great, especially after the successful openings of past activities such as "Paul's beer garden".

Just in time for the summer season, Freudenberg and Loser plan a four star organic motor with 55 rooms! This hotel is geared towards bike tourism with a unique focus and offers a fitness and wellness offer that stands out strongly from the existing options such as Maritim. The vision is clear: private guests and bicycle friends should feel comfortable here.

In addition, the historic building, which once served as an officer casino, remains and is modernized. A winter garden will seamlessly connect the restaurant to the beer garden, while the guests can relax on a terrace with full service. The plans also provide for a new event room for around 40 people in the basement of the Barfüßer building, where exciting cultural evenings take place! The future of the Barfüßer site not only shines in the summer exhibition, but also promises an innovative and cultural experience!
