Opera ball 2025: gloss, glamor and the waltz king in focus!

On Thursday, February 28, 2025, the 67th Wiener Opernball took place, which was all about Johann Strauss's 200th birthday. The opening began with an impressive performance, in which 20 dancers, supported by young talents from the in -house ballet school, made the stage vibration. Soprano Nadine Sierra belonged singing vocally, who delighted the audience with the famous “spring waltz”. This kick-off event was eagerly awaited by over 5000 ball visitors, even if the political representation-among other things represented by Federal President Alexander Van der Bellen and Chancellor Alexander Schallenberg-was rather sparse, such as Press reported.

The ball continues its heir as one of the most important cultural events in Austria.
