Rapid chase in Lohr: Racing cyclist and Audi driver in court!

A spectacular power struggle on the street caused excitement in Lohr! A 55-year-old racing cyclist and a 53-year-old driver, both from the region, fought a chase that now ends before the Gemünden district court. On April 27, 2024, the cyclist took the road instead of the bike path, which the driver didn't like. He asked the cyclist to use the bike path, which led to a tangible argument!

The cyclists who complained about the bad conditions of the bike path reacted with a hand movement that touched the Audi's reflection. The driver, outraged by the supposed damage to his expensive mirror with camera, followed the cyclist. But he turned and fled over the bike path, only to finally be placed on the bike path to Rodenbach. Here the driver is said to have brought the cyclist down, which resulted in minor injuries. A witness confirmed that the cyclist had already fallen before the driver reached him.

court hearing and hard punishment

The police were called and found that the Audi had light scratches that could be quickly removed with autopolitan. In the court, both men confessed that they had not behaved correctly. The driver, a repeat offender, had to face a fine of 6,000 euros and a driving ban of five months. The judge advised him to call the police better next time instead of going on the street!
