Digital violence: Lecture in the Lichtenfels district warns of cybercrime

In the digital world, in which smartphones and computers shape our daily lives, dark dangers also lurk! The Internet is a breeding ground for fraud, violence and hate. In view of the alarming increase in cybercrime, the Lichtenfels district is hosting an insightful lecture entitled “Digital violence can affect anyone” on Wednesday, December 4th from 9:45 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.

Expert advice from Wolfgang Schwarz

The lecture will take place in the Michelau multi-generational house, Schneyer Straße 19. The speaker is Wolfgang Schwarz, the state chairman of the White Ring for Bavaria North. The White Ring is a proven partner of the police that is committed to victim support and crime prevention. In 2023, a shocking 134,407 cybercrime crimes were registered in Germany! However, this number is just the tip of the iceberg as many cases go undetected.
