Football scandal: Schiri attack after controversial 911!
Ingolstadt, Deutschland - A football game in C-Class 2 Donau/Isar between TSV Mailing III and Turkish SV Ingolstadt II ended abruptly and in an extremely unsightly way. The 16-year-old referee Yanic Schlicker, who works as a young referee in the district league promotion squad, was forced to break off the game in the 77th minute. The reason? An unspoken penalty led to a violent argument in which the young referee was physically attacked.
In a game that was drawn at the time of the incident (2: 2), the minds had already boiled up after several warnings. While the Turkish SV players demanded a penalty, both the referee and the team of TSV Mailing disagreed, which led to bitter discussions. After an incident in which a player coach of the Turkish SV noticed in a verbal argument, he had to leave the field with a red card.
Details of the incident
The decisive event happened when an already warned player apparently insulted the referee when leaving the field and also came too close to him. Schlicker then felt threatened and broke off the game before flipping into the cabin. Even there he did not stay safe, since on the way there he continued to face threats such as "I bring you".
The referee chairman of the referee group Ingolstadt, Hans Kroll, clearly spoke out for the action of Schlicker and emphasized: "If we are attacked as a referee, then we go. Of course, something is not possible at all." The support for the young referee also came from TSV Mailing, whereby its department head Ralf Remmers described the incidents as "completely excessive".
reactions and consequences
Ertugul Topcu, the department head of the Turkish SV, was also affected after the incidents and announced that it would take measures against the players involved. He made it clear: "Something like that doesn't work at all. Even if I feel treated unfairly, I have to accept the referee's decision. Therefore, the player who attacked the refuge will never wear our jersey again." He also assured that he wanted to apologize to Schlicker on behalf of the association.
The upcoming steps in relation to the game rating and the possible punishments for the players in question are now at the sports court. If the game is evaluated with the previous result, the TSV Mailing could object, which could further complicate the situation.
This scene is not the only incident in this region, because in A-Class 1, too, after the game between TSV Ingolstadt-Nord II and FC Irfersdorf, there was a relief in which a player was assaulted. Such incidents throw a bad light on amateur football and give reason to concern about the safety of referees on the pitch.
