A dramatic traffic accident rocked the A94 between Lengdorf and Dorfen on Thursday evening! At 7:40 p.m. the nightmare began for two drivers when a 37-year-old driver drove into the vehicle of a 23-year-old at excessive speed. With no way to overtake in heavy traffic in the left lane, the speeder “completely misjudged” the speed of the man in front of him and caused a violent collision. The 23-year-old's car overturned and landed on its roof!
The result of this ice-cold collision was that the motorway was completely closed twice for a full two hours. While this dangerous situation caused chaos on the A94, the slightly injured fortunately escaped the horror and were immediately taken to nearby hospitals. However, the destructive force of the accident left its mark, with damage worth around 50,000 euros to vehicles and the concrete sliding wall.
The danger of alcohol intoxication
The police were on scene and immediately discovered that the person who caused the accident showed signs of smelling alcohol! A blood sample was taken and an investigation into endangering road traffic is now pending.
