Drama in the Bundesliga! HSC Coburg had to admit defeat against GWD Minden 29:32 yesterday evening and therefore remain without points in East Westphalia. In a heated encounter, Minden dominated from the start and gave Coburg no chance to fight back.
The first half was characterized by an impressive performance by the home team, who quickly took a 9-2 lead. Coburg couldn't keep up, the defense showed weaknesses and the opposing offense was unstoppable. Minden continued to press and extended the lead to an impressive 16:10 by halftime. At this point, the game was already clearly shaping up.
Shocking misses from Coburg
In the course of the second half, the HSC tried to counterattack and turn things around, but the inaccurate throws and the unfocused defense ruined all efforts. Despite patient attacks at times and a few goals in the final phase, the deficit could not be significantly reduced. The final whistle finally brought the sobering realization: There is still a lot to do for coach Jan Gorr's team!
With zero points from four games, HSC Coburg is under pressure. The next game could be crucial to finally get the first win of the season and get out of the bottom of the table. Fans and players must now fight together!
