Serious accident on B 22 at Rötz: Four injured on Christmas Eve!
On Christmas Day, December 25, 2024, a serious traffic accident occurred on federal road 22 near Rötz, in which four people were injured. The accident passed shortly after 7 p.m. at the confluence with the new Rötz bypass. An Opel Astra and a Golf 3.
were affectedThe 48-year-old driver of the Opel Astra intended to turn left onto state road 2151 when she overlooked an oncoming 21-year-old golf render. As a result of the collision, the driver suffered serious injuries and had to be flown to a clinic in Nuremberg with a rescue helicopter. According to the first reports, however, there is no danger to life. Two passengers in the Opel, 24 and 22 years old, were slightly injured and brought to the surrounding hospitals for clarification. The 21-year-old Golfahrer also suffered minor injuries and was also brought to the hospital in Cham.

Both vehicles were economically valued by the accident and the total damage is estimated at over 20,000 euros. Due to the evacuation work, the B 22 had to be completely closed for about 1.25 hours, the re -release was released around 8:30 p.m. At 7:17 p.m., the volunteer fire brigades from Rötz, Grassersdorf, Hillstett and Pillmersried as well as the Cham road maintenance department were alerted. Operational manager Tobias Muhr and the rescue team were able to confirm that no people were trapped in the vehicles. The fire brigades ensured a roadblock on site, illumination of the site and fire protection.
The Waldmünchen police station has started the investigation into the cause of the accident, which also includes possible negligent bodily harm and traffic offense.
