The pre -Christmas period is just around the corner and in Freilassing this is celebrated with a spectacular Christmas market! On Saturday, November 23, at 2 p.m., the market will open at 5 p.m. A real festival for the senses awaits visitors who can look forward to a diverse culinary offer-from delicious waffles and Alsatian tarte flambee to Spanish churros and hearty pulled pork castles.

The Christkindlmarkt is not only a place for delicacies, but also offers an exciting stage program for young and old! On the weekends from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m., visitors can explore the surroundings with carriage rides from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. Musical highlights include the Hefau musicians and the Winnie Saile Trio "Bluebird", which create a festive atmosphere on various days. A very special event will take place on December 1, when the wood sculptor Verena chair rider carves live with the chainsaw!

Advent highlights and surprises

The festive mood is supplemented by the "Krampus cuddling" on November 24th in the pedestrian zone, where the Freilassinger Krampus & Perchtenverein brings their scary but friendly masks closer to the little visitors. The Freilassinger Christ child will also be present and distribute sweets to increase the anticipation for Christmas. On December 8th, Santa Claus comes with a horse carriage to delight the children.

The market will continue until December 15th and reach its peak with a picture book cinema and a traditional Christmas concert by the Stadtkapelle Freilassing on Christmas Eve. On November 24, the Wirtschaftsforum (WIFO) ensures an additional shine and a festive atmosphere in the city with an open Sunday. Here visitors can expect a rich range of gift ideas and an unforgettable advent experience!
