Bamberg's Black Sheep: Host and Newcomer of the Year honored!

Sensation in the heart of Bamberg! The bar “The Black Sheep” delights the city and receives two awards. Bar owner Sven Goller was named “Host of the Year,” while his talented bartender Alina Bazen was named “Newcomer of the Year.” These small but important awards are a confirmation of the exceptional performance and creativity behind the bar. Bamberg's bar scene is booming and is known for its innovative selection of spirits and trendy atmosphere.

A cocktail dream made from organic vegetables

The evening begins, the door opens at seven - and soon the “Black Sheep” is filled to capacity! Guests can look forward to an exquisite cocktail menu that presents both timeless classics and exciting seasonal drinks. Particularly popular is the “drink of the week”, which is drunk quickly and for which Sven Goller, who was honored by a jury of 400 bar professionals, always conjures up new, delicious creations. The secret ingredients? The freshest organic vegetables from the region, which give the mixed drink a unique taste. “Why look far away when we have local flavors?” explains Goller with a smile.

The success story of Alina Bazen

For Alina Bazen, who is starting out as a newcomer, it wasn't always clear that she would be behind the counter. She originally planned to study, but the bar quickly won her over with her creative talent and sense of flavors. “I experimented with spirits and it was worth it,” she enthuses. Her creations delight guests and show that fresh vegetables – such as fennel and beetroot – in combination with all sorts of other ingredients can lead to sensational cocktails.

While the bar has been around for over twelve years and has won multiple awards, the focus remains on the most important thing: the well-being of the guests. The colorful mix of students, young adults and older guests reflects the special ambience that “The Black Sheep” exudes. Anyone who stops by will not only find first-class cocktails, but also a welcoming atmosphere that will keep many people coming back again and again.
