Shock accident in Burgkirchen: daughter (7) injured in collision!

A traffic accident caused a stir on Friday afternoon on Burghauser Straße at the junction with state highway 2356. Two vehicles were involved in the incident, which caused significant damage to both cars.

A 40-year-old man from Burgkirchen was driving his VW and wanted to turn left. He overlooked a 40-year-old driver from Holzen who was driving his Ford pickup truck straight ahead. The collision not only left the vehicles damaged - the VW driver's seven-year-old daughter was also injured and had to be taken to the InnKlinikum Altötting for medical treatment. The amount of damage to the vehicles amounts to a five-figure amount. Both cars were no longer drivable after the accident and had to be towed away.

Fire brigade in action

The Burgkirchen volunteer fire department was called to assist and secured the scene of the accident with a total of three vehicles. Their task not only included securing the road, but also cleaning it to avoid further danger to other road users.

The police from Burghausen have carried out the accident investigation and are now determining the exact circumstances that led to the collision. The incident is not only an example of the dangers of road traffic, but also illustrates how quickly a moment of carelessness can lead to serious consequences.
