CSU Aichach-Friedberg: Durz nominated for the Bundestag again!

The CSU district association Aichach-Friedberg supported the renewed candidacy of Hansjörg Durz at its most recent district representative meeting. The member of the Bundestag plans to run for the CSU in constituency 252 Augsburg-Land, which covers large parts of the Wittelsbacher Land. At the meeting, 60 delegates and their replacement delegates were elected, who will nominate the official candidate together with representatives of the CSU Augsburg-Land district association at the end of October.

Tomaschko, the current CSU district chairman and member of the state parliament, vehemently supported Durz and called on the delegates to support the candidacy. He emphasized the effects of the current political situation on the district. In particular, he highlighted the precarious financial situation of the Paar clinics, which are heavily burdened by inflation and rising operating costs. The annual deficit amounts to around 10 million euros. Tomaschko called on the federal government to adopt an emergency aid program to provide financial support to the clinics, as they are currently dependent on government funding. “In contrast to the federal government, our hospitals are financially supported by the Free State of Bavaria,” he explained, referring to special funding programs such as that for the obstetrics ward in Friedberg.

Background and support

Hansjörg Durz, who thanked the delegates for their support, plays an important role within the CSU. His renewed candidacy aims to represent the will of voters in times of difficult economic conditions. During the meeting, the MP emphasized the need to take seriously the concerns of his constituents and find solutions to the existing problems in the healthcare sector.

The financial situation of hospitals is not only a local but also a national problem that requires urgent action. The CSU district association is calling for greater federal commitment to alleviate the overwhelming financial burdens caused by legal requirements. At a time when many people rely on medical care, it is crucial that hospitals are appropriately equipped to ensure optimal service for the population. Tomaschko and Durz are positioning themselves as active representatives of the interests of all those affected and not just the political base.
